PAPER RELEASE – HIGH-THROUGHPUT BIOELECTROCHEMICAL SYSTEM

We are happy to announce a new paper in Chemical Engineering Journal. In collaboration with Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology and Brno University of Technology, we have created and tested 96-well bioelectrochemical system. With its use, we were able to search for the electroactive bacteria with copper remval capabilities. For that, we have used a various environments from Coloured Lakelets – acid mine drainages in southwest Poland.

SUMMER VISITS

We are having very busy summertime! In July LMES has grown to seven members by hosting our international colleagues and students. Dr. Fatma Yalcinkaya, a group lead in Technical University of Liberec has joined us to work towards novel membranes for MFCs, while two graduate students will get their hands on MFC science: Omar Ahmed from Ondokuz Mayıs University (Samsun, TR) and Antonio Santoro (University of Ferrara, IT).
