- “The mechanisms of bioelectrochemicial transformation of petroleum products into biosurfactants. /PL: Mechanizmy bioelektrochemicznej transformacji materiałów odpadowych z przemysłu naftowego do biosurfaktantów”, funded within OPUS, National Science Centre, 2020-2023.
In this project we aim to unreveal the mechanisms of biodegradation of petroleum waste in bioelectrochemical systems and the role of biosurfactants in this process. The biosurfactants are being produced in-situ within the MFCs and potentiostatically controlled systems.
- “PHOENIX – protection, rehabilitation and restoration of damaged environment”, funded by COST ACTION, European Commision, 2020-2023.
PHOENIX spans the knowledge and experience of dozens of European and Worldwide groups focused on sustainable development and restoration of environment through bioelectrochemical systems.
- Polish Returns 2018, The Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (Narodowa Agencja Wymiany Akademickiej), 2019-2021.
Through this project, we were able to make the LMES happen in Wroclaw. A returning grant which was focused on bioelectrochemical synthesis of surfactants.
- “Optimisation of selective treatment of distillery and fermentation waste using Bioelectrochemical Systems”, funded by Joint Research Agreement with Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology, 2020.
A bilateral agreement with Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST) in which, we have employed 96-well high throughput platform for screening of bioelectrochemically-active consortia.
